Clyde Dam to Alexandra 10km Road Races
This popular annual event for runners and
walkers is held every August.

The race starts on the Clyde Dam and heads down the by-pass road through the historic township of Clyde, past the hospital along Muttontown Road to the main highway, which competitors then follow to the outskirts of Alexandra. As well as the 10km run and walk, there are shorter races for junior runners.

Following the races is an afternoon tea and prizegiving for competitors and their supporters. All competitors go in the draw for some great spot prizes.

While this event attracts the top runners and walkers from Otago and Southland,  there are also many people "Giving it a Go!" and walking or running their first 10km race, or coming back to better last years time!
